Michael Rekucki was an artist active in 1941, primarily associated with the Index of American Designs project. This federally sponsored initiative aimed to systematically document and illustrate examples of American decorative and folk arts, capturing traditional designs before they were lost.

Rekucki’s works are represented in significant institutional collections, including the National Gallery of Art. Five documented works are held in collections, confirming the historical importance and museum-quality of the artist's output for the Index.
