Jacobus Schijnvoet
Jacobus Schijnvoet was active as a printmaker during the early 18th century, with his documented artistic output spanning the years 1704 to 1711. His known work consists exclusively of topographical prints, specializing in detailed architectural and landscape views.
Five prints by Schijnvoet are currently represented in museum collections, confirming his specialized focus on recording notable structures and historical sites. These five surviving works are preserved within the permanent collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Schijnvoet’s prints provide valuable visual documentation of specific early eighteenth-century locations, particularly historical buildings along the Vecht river region.
Key documented works include the historical record Gezicht op het graf van Johan Maurits, graaf van Nassau-Siegen, bij Kleef and the architectural views Gezicht op Huis Kronenburg te Loenen aan de Vecht, Gezicht op de ruïne van het Slot Abcoude, and Gezicht op kasteel Duurstede te Wijk bij Duurstede. His corpus also includes Gezicht op kasteel Ruwiel te Breukelen.
