George Yanosko
George Yanosko was an artist active in the United States between 1935 and 1941. His documented work is associated with the Index of American Design, a component of the Federal Art Project focused on creating a visual survey of American material culture and decorative arts. Nine recorded works are attributed to his involvement with the Index.
Yanosko specialized in detailed renderings of historical objects, preserving visual records of craftsmanship. His represented works in collections include documentation of a Covered Rabbit Dish, a Pitcher (Amberina), a Ceramic Coach Dog, a Cream Pitcher, and a Decanter. These renderings are highly regarded for their faithful detail, resulting in museum-quality reference materials.

The National Gallery of Art is among the collections preserving examples of his Index of American Design submissions. As federal projects, many of these historical documentation pieces are now considered to be within the public domain, offering access to high-quality prints and downloadable artwork for researchers and design historians.
