Erich Comeriner

Erich Comeriner was active in the artistic field during a brief but focused period between 1925 and 1928. Comeriner is represented in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), with documented works encompassing designs, photographs, and a drawing.

The five works currently cataloged in museum collections demonstrate a breadth of technical engagement across applied and fine arts. These holdings include two distinct designs, documented as the Comofot Erich Comeriner letterhead and the Heinrich Comeriner letterhead, suggesting involvement in commercial or corporate design. Comeriner’s photographic output includes the portrait Naftaly Rubinstein, Warsaw and the documentation piece titled Muuu Stock Exchange (Muuu Effektenbörse), alongside a single documented drawing and an Untitled piece. The preservation of these various media within major institutions establishes their historical and museum-quality significance.

While few works are documented, the presence of these designs and photographs in a prestigious public institution affirms Comeriner’s contribution to the visual arts of the 1920s. Today, many of Comeriner’s works are available as public domain resources, offering access to high-quality prints and downloadable artwork for study.
