Aleksei Kruchenykh, Kirill Zdanevich

Aleksei Kruchenykh and Kirill Zdanevich were collaborators active in the field of illustrated book production, documented primarily around 1917. Their joint efforts resulted in six illustrated books held in museum collections, confirming their significance in the period’s artistic output.

Their works are notably represented by the publication Uchites' khudogi! Stikhi, which is also cataloged under the English title Learn Artists! Poems. This key illustrated book exemplifies the form of graphic and poetic collaboration they pursued. Additional works from 1918 are also documented in institutional databases, though currently held as untitled records.

The artistic relevance of Kruchenykh and Zdanevich is established by the inclusion of their material in major international institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). The preservation of these illustrated volumes as museum-quality works ensures ongoing study of their collaboration. Today, select pages from their cataloged books are available to researchers and collectors, sometimes as high-quality prints, particularly when the underlying images have entered the public domain.
